Heritage

The history of Entrecampos is marked by a deep sense of nostalgia

From the creation of Mercado Geral do Gado in 1900 to house Feira Popular (fun fair) for decades until closure in 2003, this Entrecampos area has become an icon of a magical city era.
The Feira Popular’s historical legacy is preserved through memories, photographs, and shared stories, nurturing people’s emotional connection with the past. It is marked by decades of fun, entertainment, and change, reflecting Lisbon’s urban and cultural transformations over time.

Today, with the Entrecampos Integrated Operation, this abandoned land will once more find its glory, flourishing into a place where people can live, work, meet, eat, shop, relax, be entertained, and much more.

An innovative Landmark

The new era of Entrecampos prioritizes honoring its history. The community – both citizens and businesses – will breathe new life, transforming it into a vibrant centre of living, retail, leisure, and work.

EntreCampos’ Project innovation emerges from the balance between preserving its heritage and bringing the most innovative spirit and sustainable design and architecture.

Inspired by the past, this new area will reshape the future as it will be a dynamic and integral part of the city.
